Bountiful Harvest

     Daren has worked hard the last few years to plant us a garden and every year gets better!  This year we have already started to get zucchini.  It's very exciting and I'm sure we will get tons and tons more.  We don't have a lot of luck on everything we plant, but always have a bounty of squash and melons.  Now, the girls like the melons, but they aren't as thrilled about the squash.

This is all Daren said they had to eat for dinner tonight.

This is how they looked at us:

     Actually, it was just Natalee and Mackenzie.  Kelsey fell asleep before dinner and Haylee ate hers right away and, what do you know?  She actually liked it!  She even took seconds, and I believe thirds.  All in all, she said she had eaten 9 slices.  Natalee and Mackenzie eventually choked theirs down so they wouldn't have to go to bed early.  They made sure to tell us how gross it was.  It would make no sense for them to eat it and then just keep quiet about their feelings, now would it?  They are going to be so excited to be eating from the garden all summer long!
